Merces Consulting Group, Inc. (Merces) was retained by three migrant/community health centers in the last half of 2010, continuing the growth of its M/CHC Consulting Practice.
InterCare Community Health Network, is a Bangor, Michigan based health center with facilities throughout Southwestern Michigan, serving more than 40,000 patients in Allegan, Berrien, Cass, Kent, Ottawa and VanBuren Counties. Merces worked with InterCare’s executive management to help redesign its organizational structure and allocate responsibilities to respond to rapid growth and the organization’s future plans.
Serving more than 60,000 patients annually through twelve medical clinics and five dental facilities, Del Norte Clinics, Inc. provides essential health care for the residents of Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter and Yuba Counties in Northern California. Merces recently began working with Del Norte to help realign their management structure, develop a new job description for the Chief Executive Officer position, and provide advice on appropriate compensation levels for top management.
Valley-Wide Health Services, Inc. has thirteen primary health care delivery sites strategically located throughout southern Colorado. These full-service clinics are joined by five dental clinics and a milieu of ancillary health services to address the needs of its patients. After the long-serving CEO left to take a position as Regional Director for the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Board of Directors wanted to ensure that their search for a new CEO was based on the needs the agency would have moving forward. Merces worked with the Board and the Interim CEO to develop a new job description for the CEO position and identify the characteristics a candidate would need to be successful. Subsequent work has included the development of a new organization structure and a pay structure for executive and management positions.
